1. What Are Cookies and Local Web Storage?
Cookies and modern browser storage mechanisms (including localStorage, sessionStorage, and IndexedDB) are small data structures stored directly on your personal device by your web browser. In traditional web platforms, cookies are often abused for cross-site behavioral tracking and profile monetization. At MEMOMES CLOUD, our technical architecture is radically different.
2. What We Store and Why
MEMOMES CLOUD uses browser storage strictly for essential, privacy-preserving operational functions:
| Storage Mechanism | Key / Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session Cookie / Token | memomes_auth_jwt |
Secure authentication token ensuring authorized API communication. | Session / 30 Days (if Remember Me checked) |
| IndexedDB Sandbox | memomes_vault_db |
Holds encrypted chunks and local WASM vector indexes for zero-leak instant search. | Persistent on device until cleared |
| Local Storage | memomes_theme_pref |
Remembers your interface display preferences (Dark Mode / High Contrast). | Persistent |
| Local Storage | memomes_space_waitlist_email |
Remembers that you have claimed your Deepawali 50GB early access pass. | Persistent |
3. Zero Third-Party Tracking Assurance
In strict alignment with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, MEMOMES CLOUD does not partner with ad networks, data brokers, or social media telemetry providers. No third party is permitted to place tracking pixels or surveillance cookies through our website or applications.
4. How to Manage or Clear Your Storage
You have complete control over your browser storage. You may delete cookies or clear local site data at any time via your browser settings:
- Google Chrome / Brave / Edge: Settings → Privacy and Security → Site Settings → Cookies and data →
memomes.space - Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Apple Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
Note: Clearing your browser's IndexedDB and localStorage will remove your cached offline keys. You will need to re-authenticate with your password and master recovery phrase.
